The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia,  Alenka Bratušek, met with the management of company Steklarna Hrastnik and made a tour of  its production line.  As part of her visit in the Zasavje region she also attended the celebration of the miners' day and in her address she emphasized:  "I am glad to join you here today in the light and not "in the cave". When I visited you underground a few weeks ago I realised how serious the situation must have become for you to have taken the decision to leave your families and daylight. I therefore truly hope and sincerely wish that you would never have to do this again."

"You need to collect courage day after day to leave for work. I myself also needed to collect courage one year ago to take over the Government and to retain our sovereignty. If someone else had been taking decisions in our country, the situation would have been different today.   The Troika does not show concern for social justice and solidarity, it is not interested in miners. I will therefore never allow it to cross the borders of our state.   We need to continue to take decisions ourselves courageously and sovereignly.  Allow me, therefore, to devote the words "good luck" with which I will greet you at the end, this time not only to you but in particular to Slovenia as it will need to make important decisions in the coming days.  Good luck Slovenia, good luck Hrastnik, good luck miners," added the Prime Minister.
