Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek after the meeting with representatives of the opposition: "The dialogue has been productive; reasonable and feasible proposals will be taken into consideration"

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Alenka Bratušek, this morning acquainted the members of the Economic and Social Council (ESC) with the measures drawn up by the Government within the framework of the national reform programme and the stability pact; in the afternoon, the package of measures was also presented to the representatives of the opposition in the National Assembly. In her statement to the press after the meeting with the opposition, Prime Minister Bratušek said that the dialogue with both the ESC and the opposition had been productive. She also added that both documents were still being amended.

 

After the meeting, Prime Minister Bratušek expressed her wish there would be more such dialogues. As to the content of documents and concrete measures, she pointed out that until the measures were finalised she would not talk about the details. The contents of documents will be shared with the public after their adoption at the Government session. Prime Minister Bratušek concluded by thanking the opposition for their time and efforts put into the preparing of proposals and stressed that those which the Government would consider reasonable and feasible would also be taken into consideration.
