Slovenian Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek receives Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Alenka Bratušek, today (3 May 2013) received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov. Ms Bratušek and Mr Lavrov highlighted the importance of good cooperation between the Republic of Slovenia and the Russian Federation in politics, economy and culture. They agreed that activities for strengthening the relations should continue in all areas were the countries share common interests.

 

They devoted special attention to the enhancement of economic cooperation and exchanged views on the South Stream project. Ms Bratušek stressed that the project is of great strategic importance for Slovenia, as well as the wider region.
