The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Alenka Bratušek, and the President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, Enrico Letta, in today's telephone conversation exchanged their views on the situation in the EU, particularly in the context of the current economic and financial crisis.  They agreed that the situation calls for determined action to boost economic growth in the EU and that special attention is to be paid to the employment of young people. At the same time, they agreed on a bilateral meeting at the earliest possible convenience which, certainly, should be held prior to the June EU Council meeting.
