A meeting on Slovenia's public health system reform was held today in the Prime Minister's office. The meeting was attended by representatives of health care organisations, the Minister of Finance, Uroš Čufer, and the Minister of Health, Tomaž Gantar.

In her statement to the press, Prime Minister Bratušek expressed her satisfaction that health care stakeholders sat down to negotiate and mainly agreed on outstanding issues. She explained that an agreement had been reached on what should be done on a short-term and long-term basis.

"The crisis in Slovenia and Europe in general is a reality and so is also the fact that our health system should adapt to the crisis. The participants in the meeting agreed that good quality public health care should be preserved and strongly condemned corruption not only in public health care but also in other segments of the society", concluded the Prime Minister.
