The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Alenka Bratušek, called a meeting to discuss the fight against commercial crime and corruption. In addition to both relevant ministers, Minister of the Interior Gregor Virant and Minister of Justice Senko Pličanič, the meeting was attended by Director General of the Police Stanislav Veniger, Director of the Criminal Police Directorate Marjan Fank, Director of the National Bureau of Investigation Darko Majhenič, Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption Goran Klemenčič, State Prosecutor General Zvonko Fišer, and Head of the Specialised Office of the State Prosecutor Harij Furlan.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that the fight against commercial crime and corruption was a key priority for the Government. She said: "I am convinced that this fight has also become a priority for our society. We must put an end to these practices."

She went on to explain that the participants of the meeting shared the view that the key task was to restore people’s trust in the country and in the principle that we are all equal before the law and that, despite the great progress made recently, the work was far from over. “It has been agreed that they inform me within a week of what they need to perform their work more effectively.  For some of them, this may be more staff, for others additional equipment. We are committed to providing additional funds where needed," she concluded.
