The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Drašković presented the Serbian positions on the issue of the future status of Kosovo and expressed hope that the final solution will represent the maximum compromise between both parties.

Prime Minister Janez Janša welcomed the adoption of the new Serbian constitution, which represents a break with the Milošević regime at the level of constitutional law. He pointed out the significance of the further democratic development of Serbia and expressed hope that the parliamentary elections in January will confirm such orientation. Prime Minister Janez Janša assured the Minister of Foreign Affairs Drašković Slovenia’s further support and provision of specific assistance in the process of implementation of reforms and transposition of European standards.
