Prime Minister Janez Janša: Without Prekmurje, Slovenia would not be what it is

Mr Janša stressed the importance of commemorating this historic event, without which Slovenia would not be what it is. He also expressed satisfaction that this year's celebration is marked by Prekmurje's all-round progress and the fact that the region is closing the development gap with Central Slovenia and faces important challenges. The PM thus drew the attention to the establishment of new regions, which will act as a development engine, facilitate much more rapid regional development and raise the quality of life in the region.
