Prime Minister Janez Janša meets the management of Deutsche Bahn

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, and the Ministers of Finance and Transport met the CEO of Deutsche Bahn, Dr Hartmut Mehdorn and Dr Norbert Bensel, Head of DB Logistics.

The German guests presented the mid- and long-term vision of development of Deutsche Bahn, which is based on establishing a transport-logistic European network, to the Prime Minister. They discussed the opportunities available for the further development of Slovenian Railways and cooperation between Slovenian transport-logistics companies and Deutsche Bahn. The management of DB seeks a partnership relationship in Slovenia whose key goal is the optimisation of operations and better services for consumers.

The PM expressed satisfaction over the talks on potential cooperation, saying that to facilitate the faster development of logistic services and the modernisation of Slovenian Railways, cooperation with a strategic partner is most welcome. He also said that it was possible to find an appropriate business model which would bring benefits and long-term development to all the companies involved.
