Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, met the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Mexican States, Patricia Espinosa Cantellano, to discuss the possibilities of strengthening bilateral relations.

The Secretary of Foreign Affairs presented the progress Mexico had made in adopting significant internal reforms and fighting organised crime. PM Janez Janša and Ms Espinosa Cantellano also focused on the fifth EU-LAC Summit, which will be held during Slovenia's Presidency on 16 and 17 May 2008 in Lima, Peru. They also confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in the meantime.
