Slovenian Premier Janez Janša congratulates Serbian President Boris Tadić on election win

In a telephone conversation today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia and current President of the European Council, Janez Janša, congratulated the President of the Republic of Serbia, Boris Tadić, on the victory of the Coalition for a European Serbia at the general elections. The two leaders went on to agree that European Union support for the Coalition’s foreign policy orientation had sent an important signal to the Serbian voters, the majority of whom had voted in favour of their country’s future in Europe.
