Recent attacks on homosexual citizens are as equally intolerable as attacks on any other person in Slovenia. All forms of violence and intolerance based on differences of race, gender, national or ethnic origin, religious conviction or individual lifestyle, have no place in the open and tolerant society, which we are seeking to build.

 

As citizens and human beings we must assume full responsibility for our relationships with our fellow citizens and human beings. We cannot seek rights only, but must also carry out our duties towards others. In a modern community the rights of every individual interact with the rights of our fellow human beings. We all deserve equal opportunities; therefore, we must seek responsibility from every individual, while respecting and tolerating others.
