With respect to today’s statement by the Human Rights Ombudsman, Mr Matjaž Hanžek, expressing surprise at yesterday’s response from the Prime Minister’s Office, we wish to emphasise that this is not the first time that Mr Hanžek has tarnished the function he represents through his irresponsible behaviour and action.

 

By damaging the reputation of the Republic of Slovenia in international institutions, he exceeded all limits this time. The same applies to his attempt to shift the responsibility for the consequences of his conduct to others. In the light of this, we expect him to apologise promptly to all Slovenian citizens for his harmful conduct.
