The Slovenian PM stressed that the Republic of Slovenia had assumed command of a sector in Kosovo, where more than 600 troops from the Slovenian Armed Forced are participating in a peace-keeping mission. According to Mr Janša, Slovenia has also offered numerous other forms of aid aimed at achieving stability more rapidly.

Both Prime Ministers expressed the expectation that the future status of Kosovo would be determined soon. According to the Slovenian PM, the Kosovo government understands the demands of the Serbian population in Kosovo. "I believe that the international community has found a very reasonable partner in the current Prime Minister of Kosovo,'' said Mr Janša after meeting Mr Ceku.
