Today the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru, José Antonio García Belaunde.

The PM and his guest exchanged opinions on the relations between the European Union and Latin America, and expressed support to the close collaboration between Slovenia and Peru during the preparations for the 5th EU-Latin America and the Caribbean Summit, which will take place on 16 and 17 May 2008 in Lima during Slovenia's EU Presidency. They also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing an interest in strengthening economic cooperation.
