Prime Minister Janez Janša receives Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs

Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, met Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vuk Jeremić. They discussed bilateral cooperation, which has been developing well since the countries established diplomatic relations seven years ago. They agreed that the dynamics of economic relations was positive and had increased.

The Slovenian PM stressed Serbia's role in maintaining the stability in the Western Balkans and said that Slovenia's support to Serbian efforts to reach progress in the EU and NATO integration would be reflected through the priorities of our presidency of the European Union in the first half of 2008.

 

PM Janša and Mr Jeremić exchanged views on resolving the status of Kosovo. The PM endorsed a prompt solution which would lead to long-term stability in the region in the light of the European perspective of Serbia and Kosovo.
